Rally Day

Rally Day is just around the corner!

What is Rally Day?rally_day
Rally Day signifies the start of a new church year!Rally Day is designed to instill excitement in the congregation about the educational opportunities for the upcoming year. It is a designated day when the church “rallies” together to launch its educational programmes, such as Sunday School.

When was the first Rally Day?
It’s not certain, but it seems to date back to – at least – 1905. It was first meant to promote Sunday School, but is now meant with the whole church in mind.

When is Rally Day?
Rally Day is usually held on the second Sunday in September.

What do we do for Rally Day?
We tend to hold a Rally Day breakfast before the Sunday School lessons starts or a kid-friendly coffee-hour after Sunday Worship.
