Easter Observances Around the World

calendarDid you know that, with the obvious exception of countries such as Russia, China and Saudi Arabia, the US has the LEAST national holidays for Easter?

In the US, Good Friday is the only day a holiday is observed and this is purely a local matter – 14 states DO consider it a holiday.

In Commonwealth countries, it is custom for Easter Monday to be a “bank holiday” in lieu of Easter Sunday, though Australia observes a four-day national holiday from Good Friday to Easter Monday.
